Hi there everyone, Drew here. Today we’re soft-launching makingacruise.com.

Depending on how you count, it takes a shoreside team of 8-12 people to produce a JoCo Cruise. And, as we’ve grown from a small group on a larger ship to a full-ship charter, we’ve accumulated a critical mass of jokes that never made it, glorious plans that have only ever been google docs, and reflections on the larkish project that became one of the weirdest full-time jobs to describe at a cocktail party.

The bean counters require us to say: If you need to know it in order to sail on JoCo Cruise, you won’t find it here ™. We’ll try to post often, featuring items from “the cutting room floor” and occasional longer posts by members of the team, written in a more personal style than our corporate, logistical email blasts allow.

We’re just getting started here, so bear with us as we figure out the tone, get some posts listed, and see if everyone can learn to use github pages. Unless Drew is deposed as this site’s maintainer, we’ll try to keep these pages looking “rustic.” If you find “bugs” with the site (hard to use, looks wrong, etc) you can submit them here.
